Freshdesk pricing plans at a glance
Prices are per agent per month in US dollars, from the Freshworks pricing page. Yearly billing saves about 20 percent. Sales tax is added at checkout.
| Plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | SLA | AI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | $19 | $23 | SLA management, one policy | Freddy AI Agent sessions available, no Copilot |
| Pro | $55 | $66 | Multiple SLA policies, reminders and escalations | Copilot add-on at $29 per agent |
| Enterprise | $89 | $107 | Multiple SLA policies plus skill-based routing | Copilot add-on at $29 per agent |
Freshworks also lists a free plan for up to two agents. It covers basic email ticketing, so it suits a founder answering support, not a team that sells response times to customers. Freshdesk Omni, the bundle that adds chat and messaging channels to the same seat, is priced above these ticketing plans.
What you actually get on each Freshdesk plan
Growth is Freshdesk's entry help desk: shared email inbox, ticket dispatch rules, automations, a knowledge base and SLA management with a single policy. For a small team that promises one response time and does not need AI drafting, $19 a seat billed yearly is a good price, and we say that as a competitor.
Pro is where most growing US teams land, and the reason is usually SLAs. Multiple SLA policies, SLA reminders and escalations sit here, so a team that offers a premium support tier or signs contracts with response-time promises has to be on Pro. Pro is also the first plan that can buy Freddy AI Copilot, the assistant that drafts replies and summarizes long threads for agents.
Enterprise adds skill-based routing and more admin control for large teams. Teams move here for routing and control, not for SLAs, since Pro already has them.
What Freddy AI adds to the Freshdesk cost
Freshdesk sells AI as two separate lines, and both sit on top of the seat price.
Freddy AI Copilot is for your agents. It drafts replies, rewrites tone and summarizes tickets. It costs $29 per agent per month billed yearly and is only sold on Pro and Enterprise, so on Pro the real seat price with AI drafting is $84.
Freddy AI Agent is for your customers. It answers routine questions on its own through chat, email and your help center. It comes with 500 sessions, and after that sessions are sold in packs of 100 for $49. If your AI agent handles 1,500 sessions beyond the included ones in a busy month, that is $735 extra.
That second line is the one that surprises buyers at renewal. It grows with ticket volume, not with headcount, so a good month for your AI is an expensive month for your budget. Before you sign, estimate how many conversations the AI will touch, not only how many it will resolve, because a session is counted when a conversation happens.
What Freshdesk really costs per year
Here is what the plans cost for common team sizes, billed yearly, before tax and before extra AI Agent sessions.
| Team size | Growth | Pro | Pro with Copilot | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 agents | $1,140 a year | $3,300 a year | $5,040 a year | $5,340 a year |
| 10 agents | $2,280 a year | $6,600 a year | $10,080 a year | $10,680 a year |
| 25 agents | $5,700 a year | $16,500 a year | $25,200 a year | $26,700 a year |
Monthly billing costs about 20 percent more: ten agents on Pro pay $7,920 a year monthly instead of $6,600 yearly. The jump that matters most is Growth to Pro, nearly three times the seat price, and it is usually forced by SLA escalations rather than by headcount.
Freshdesk costs that do not show on the pricing page
The seat and AI lines are the big ones. Three smaller items belong in the budget as well.
- Phone support: calls run through Freshcaller, a separate Freshworks product with its own per-agent plans and per-minute rates. If voice is a real channel for you, price a dedicated cloud business phone system against it before you bundle.
- Chat and messaging: WhatsApp, chat and social channels live in Freshdesk Omni or Freshchat, priced as their own bundles.
- Occasional users: every person who logs in to work tickets needs a paid seat, so count managers and engineers who only step in now and then.
None of this is hidden in a bad sense. It is the normal price of a modular suite. Budget it before you compare Freshdesk with a tool that bundles AI and channels into one seat.
Which Freshdesk plan should you choose?
Pick Growth if you have a small team, one SLA and no need for AI drafting. It is one of the cheapest well-known help desks for that job.
Pick Pro if you promise different response times to different customers, need reminders before a breach and escalations after one, or want Copilot for your agents.
Pick Enterprise only if you need skill-based routing across many teams or stricter admin controls.
If AI is the main reason you are shopping, look past the seat price and add Copilot plus your expected AI Agent sessions first. That total is the number to compare.
Freshdesk pricing compared with other help desks
How the Freshdesk plan that unlocks several SLA policies compares with the tools buyers shortlist with it. Prices per agent per month, billed yearly, from each vendor's pricing page.
| Tool | Plan with several SLA policies | Price | How AI is billed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Freshdesk | Pro | $55 | Copilot $29 per agent, AI Agent sessions $49 per 100 after the first 500 |
| Ticketagent | Team | $49 | AI drafts and 150 resolutions per seat each month included, pooled |
| Zoho Desk | Standard | $14 | Generative AI from Professional, with Zia or your own key |
| Help Scout | Plus | about $37.80 | AI Answers at $0.75 per resolution |
| Zendesk | Suite Professional | $115 | Per automated resolution, Copilot $50 per agent |
Freshdesk Growth is cheaper than every paid Ticketagent plan, and Zoho Desk is cheaper than Freshdesk at every tier. The picture changes once you need several SLA policies and AI. Ten agents on Freshdesk Pro with Copilot pay $840 a month before extra AI Agent sessions. Ten agents on Ticketagent Team pay $490 a month, and that includes AI drafts on every ticket plus a pooled 1,500 AI resolutions a month, with SLA timers, warnings and escalations on the same seat.
